First elected in 2002, Justin is a lifetime resident of Prince George's County, and is honored by the privilege to represent the 22nd District in Annapolis.
2012 Maryland General Assembly
The 2011 Session of the Maryland General Assembly will begin at noon on the 11th of January. The session will last for 90 days and conclude at midnight on the 9th of April. During those 90 days, the General Assembly will review hundreds of pieces of legislation, hold dozens upon dozens of committee hearings and cast thousands of votes.

Nothing though will be of greater importance than tackling our State's budget deficit. Just within the last month, analysts told us that we should expect a $1.1 billion deficit for the next fiscal year. This will require painful decisions and a balancing of our State's priorities.

Also, a top priority of mine during the 2012 legislative session will be passing Marriage Equality in Maryland. After suffering a very narrow defeat in the House last session, the bill will again be voted on in 2012. Please know that I will work diligently in my position of Chief Deputy Majority Whip to ensure passage of this important legislation. It is time to end marriage discrimination in Maryland. I hope you will join me in this cause.

As your Delegate, I will work to support the needs of our district while making the best decisions for our State. I look forward to discussing my work and hearing your feedback.
District 22
I am honored to have the opportunity to serve the residents of District 22 in the Maryland legislature. During my time in Annapolis, I have always made my constituents my first priority, doing my best to personally respond to their concerns, discuss legislation and provide assistance in whatever way I can. It has been the greatest privilege to represent the interests of my neighbors in District 22 and to have the opportunity to improve the quality of life for the residents of Prince George's County and the State of Maryland.

The 22nd District is home to many treasures ranging from the Greenbelt Park to the NASA Space Flight Center. Our diversity, coupled with our ability to recognize each other as neighbors is an attribute that few communities can boast.
